Public Service Learning Institute marks two years with new programmes

The Virgin Islands Public Service Learning Institute is marking its second anniversary with ambitious plans to further strengthen professional development across the public service, including specialized programmes for law enforcement.In a special feature, Director Dr. Connie E. George and Communications Officer II in the Office of the Deputy Governor, Mr. Eusa Z. Adams, reflected on the institute’s progress since its launch and outlined the next phase of initiatives.

She revealed that the Emergency Care and Treatment Programme, which trains law enforcement officers in life-saving skills, will now become an annual initiative. In addition, a leadership development programme will be a central focus going forward

One of the institute’s most significant undertakings is the introduction of a Law Enforcement Associate Degree, which will be awarded through a reputable Caribbean institution. Dr. George noted that planning is already underway to finalize the selection process for eligible participants.
