BVIHSA Announces Completion of AC Installation and cleaning at the Nurse Iris O’Neal Clinic; Services to return this Week

Following air conditioning works and a cleaning process, the BVI Health Services will begin transitioning back into the Nurse Iris O’Neal Clinic in Virgin Gorda today.

Minister of Health and Social Development, Vincent Wheatley was optimistic about the move back to the Clinic last week however that did not materialize.

While the Clinic is closed, a field hospital is being utilized on the grounds of the facility and according to the Health Minister it is doing exactly what is supposed to do.

Today, the BVIHSA in a release said that following the completion of the installation phase, a thorough deep cleaning of the facility and the required air quality assessment conducted to ensure the building meets all safety and environmental standards, the authority can confirm that services will now transition back to the clinic.

It says effective today, the team will begin the relocation process to the clinic and this transition is expected to be completed within three days.

The BVIHSA is advising the public that during this period there may be brief interruptions to certain services.

In particular, pharmacy services may experience temporary delays as equipment and supplies are repositioned and systems are fully restored.
