Further to our Community Update dated 24 February 2026, Tortola Pier Park Ltd. (“Pier Park”) is pleased to advise that installation of the permanent Astro Turf surface at the Lawn has been successfully completed. This upgrade represents a significant enhancement to one of the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park’s most utilized community spaces. The Lawn serves as a central venue fo public gatherings, cultural events, holiday programming, and large-scale celebrations.
The new permanent Astro Turf surface provides a durable, year-round solution designed to withstand high foot traffic while maintaining a clean and event-ready appearance. We extend our sincere thanks once again to VISAR, whose partnership made this longstanding infrastructure objective a reality. Through the agreement permitting VISAR’s Winter Wonderland to operate at the facility during the 2025 holiday season, VISAR provided the Astro Turf surface, delivering a meaningful and lasting improvement to the property.
The Lawn is now fully open and available for community use. Residents and visitors are malready enjoying the enhanced space, which offers improved accessibility and comfort for mevents, family activities, and everyday recreation. Tortola Pier Park Ltd. remains committed to the responsible management and continuous enhancement of its public spaces. Strategic planning and partnership-driven solutions ensure that the Pier Park continues to evolve in a way that benefits the wider community for years to come.
