BVITB & FC take steps to evolve BVI Brand- Project to create new Storytelling Platforms

The BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission says it has begun the first phase of evolving the BVI brand, an effort aimed at supporting the Territory’s continued tourism growth, future success, and creating new storytelling platforms.

The board said this initial phase is centred on a listening tour designed to engage residents across the territory, ensuring that the perspectives, voices, and experiences of the community are fully represented and included in shaping the brand.

It is said that by beginning with conversations at the local level, the project highlights that any outward message must first resonate with the people who call the BVI home.

Senior Vice President of Global Brand Strategy at MMGY Global Stewart Colovin, met with staff, partners, and tourism stakeholders through a series of informal discussions late last month.

MMGY Global is the US marketing agency for destination BVI.  The Board said the listening tour will continue in late April with further stakeholder engagement.

It said that evolving the BVI brand in this collaborative and inclusive way is an important step toward strengthening its identity and positioning the Territory for sustained tourism growth.
