Police confirm one male shooting victim from Sunday’s incident in Vanterpool Estate

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has confirmed a lone male victim was left nursing a bullet wound after gunshots rang out in Vanterpool Estate on the evening of Sunday, April 26th.

According to a release from police, over 36 hours after the incident had occurred, officers who initially responded to the scene to recover evidence did not find any injured persons there. However, officers later learned that a male individual has presented himself at the Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital with “what appeared to be a gunshot wound”.

The individual was treated and has since been discharged from the hospital.
