The FIBA approved, 3×3 basketball equipment consisting of a complete 3×3 court setup with shot clock and score board required to host a FIBA 3×3 Official Competition, was donated by FIBA Americas to the BVI Olympic Committee in preparation for the first ever ANOCES 3×3 basketball championship taking place May 16-17, 2026 in the British Virgin Islands.

The BVIOC, which was elected to host the inaugural ANOCES 3×3 U23 tournament for the region, extends deep appreciation to Mr. Usie Richards, a board member of FIBA and Treasurer of FIBA Americas and Mr. Camilo Romero, Manager of FIBA Americas 3×3 for sourcing and securing the generous donation in support of the ongoing development of the sport in the Territory and enabling the NF to host future official FIBA 3×3 competitions for the region.

The court and equipment were received by Mr. Eustace “Boss” Freeman, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee and installed by Mr. Keith “88” Malone, a former national basketball player and national coach with an illustrious career in the sport.

“On behalf of the BVIOC and ANOCES, thank you to FIBA Americas for ensuring that we are fully prepared to successfully host this important 3×3 U23 championship for the basketball federations of NOCs of the OECS.
