Armed robbery reported at Tortola Pier Park

Police are investigating an armed robbery that targeted the House of Luxury jewelry store in the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 20th.

In a statement to the press Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) confimed that masked men armed with guns entered the establishment, stole jewelry and escaped in a vehicle parked outside that is alleged to have been stolen prior to its use in the crime. Several shots were reportedly fired during the incident, though no injuries have been reported.

The robbery comes just months after another armed heist targeted the same store in December 2025 when gunmen stormed the business and escaped by speedboat in a brazen daylight theft. Police later recovered the vessel used in that incident and four people were detained for questioning. However, no charges were publicly disclosed.

The same establishment was also targeted in a similar fashion in July 2023.

Police said further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
