A male Police Constable attached to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has been interdicted from duty following a firearm-related incident currently under investigation.
According to a press release issued by the RVIPF officers are investigating a domestic-related incident reported on Tuesday, May 27, 2026.
Police said that as part of the ongoing investigation, the officer was arrested for questioning and has since been removed from active duty pending the outcome of the matter. As it currently stands, the officer’s identity has not been revealed as he has not yet been charged.
The RVIPF stated that investigations remain ongoing and additional information will be released as necessary.
Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool said the force remains committed to investigating and prosecuting any wrongdoing committed by members of the police service or wider public service.
