The Virgin Islands delivered a solid performance to secure a deserved 2-0 victory over Bonaire in an international friendly on Saturday.
From the opening whistle, the Virgin Islands controlled much of the play, creating chances and applying consistent pressure on the Bonaire defense. Their efforts were rewarded when Joshua Bertie found the back of the net, giving his side a crucial first-half advantage.
The Virgin Islands continued to dominate after the break, maintaining possession and limiting Bonaire’s opportunities in front of goal. Luka Chalwell added a second goal, effectively sealing the victory and capping off a strong team performance.
Defensively, the Virgin Islands were equally impressive, remaining organized and composed to preserve a clean sheet while frustrating Bonaire’s attacking attempts.
