Bishop John Cline has expressed outrage just like other members of the public about the Auditor General’s report on the exorbitant salary increases for members of the House of Assembly.
In a statement on radio, Bishop Cline said that while it is agreed there is a need for increases, the issue is, it is being done when there are many persons in the community who are facing hardships.
Bishop Cline said this mismanagement of government funds must be called out. ‘
He said further, there is outrage from the public as well, because the infrastructure is lagging behind and there is no economic growth.
The Bishop said it seems their aim is to bankrupt the territory and when they are done, the aim would have been to set themselves up financially.
