Today August 1st, 2020, is the Democratic Party Primary Election Day in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Today’s results will determine the Democrats who will compete in the general election which is scheduled for November. The seats being contested include Senate, Democratic National Committee Woman, Territorial Committee At-Large, Board of Education, Democratic Party District Chair, Democratic Party State Chair, and Territorial Committee District. Voting starts at 7:00 a.m.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Election System of the Virgin Islands has narrowed the number of voting places, and voting precincts have been consolidated into “Voting Centers”.
