Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday on Brookman Road, where two assailants are seen on video firing gunshots using automatic rifles at a single or multiple targets.
The 911 Emergency Call Center at 11:06 a.m. Wednesday dispatched officers to the scene after being notified of the incident.
Upon officers’ arrival, witnesses and closed circuit video footage confirmed that two individuals wearing ski masks fired multiple gunshots. Further investigation did not uncover any gunshot victims, according to police spokesman Toby Derima.
Video footage show the two men appearing to exit a small, white car, and proceeded to open fire at targets that could not be seen in the video of the shooting circulating on the internet. The men then hurried back to the car and fired a few more shots as they sped away.
The V.I.P.D. is asking anyone who was in the area of the shooting, or who may have information about this incident, to contact the police force as this case is presently under investigation.
