NORWEIGAN AND ROYAL CARIBBEAN RELAX FACE MASK POLICIES

Norwegian Cruise Lines has announced that passengers will no longer be required to wear masks on board. According to the Norwegian website, “Effective fleetwide on March 1, 2022, the decision to wear a mask covering when onboard is at the discretion of each guest.”

Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean has also relaxed their face mask requirements, although not entirely doing away with their current protocols.

At present, Royal Caribbean cruise passengers are required to wear masks in all areas of the ship However, starting Monday, February 14th, a new policy will take affect which allows masks to be removed in ‘vaccinated-only’ areas of the ship.

This more relaxed policy was in place last summer pre-Omicron.
