Representative and Country Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Caribbean Multi-Country Office, Brian Bogart, has signalled the organization’s commitment to improving food security across the region as part of the upcoming Caribbean Week of Agriculture 2025.
Under the theme “Sowing Change, Harvesting Resilience: Transforming Our Food Systems for 2025 and Beyond,” Bogart shared that the WFP will support efforts to strengthen regional food systems, reduce vulnerability, and boost resilience in the face of climate and economic challenges.

As part of the week’s activities, two panel discussions will explore practical strategies to transform food systems and ensure sustainable access to nutritious food.

The programme will open on 29 September with the focus “By 2025 + 5: Youth & Women,” followed on 30 September by discussions on “Connecting Capital with Opportunity.” On 1 October, attention will turn to “Agri R&D for Climate Resilience & Survival,” before concluding on 2 October with the theme “Derisking the Regional Food System.”
