Local entrepreneur Kevin Fahie says he is honoured to represent the Virgin Islands at the 5th Annual Progressism Summit and Experience, which will be held in Dominica on Sunday, January 11.
Fahie has been invited to join regional and international leaders at the summit, where he will share insights on the progress and potential of young entrepreneurs in the BVI and across the Caribbean.
“I’m extremely honoured to be a part of this because when you look at the type of leaders that they have invited to participate in this event its a lot of high quality individuals so just to even be considered, I feel extremely honoured to be part of the panel”, Fahie said.
“It’s a great opportunity to show where I’ve come from and highlight a lot of BVIslanders, and a lot of young BVI Entrepreneurs who have been doing great things. Feel like this is a door that has opened to us and it is my job and my goal to make sure I go there and definitely speak on how great we are doing here as young entrepreneurs in the BVI and in different ways how we can help other Caribbean countries who may be struggling or having a tough time in helping their young entrepreneurs.”
This year’s summit is being held under the theme “Bridging Caribbean and African Brilliance – Progress without Borders.” Fahie will speak on the topic “Breaking Barriers,” which will focus on strengthening connections between the Caribbean and Africa and exploring ways entrepreneurs can succeed beyond traditional borders.
“It should be a very intense segment. They want to hear the different experiences from all the leaders around the world. They have people from Cameroon, Ghana, Dominica, Barbados and Saint Lucia”, Fahie shared.
The summit aims to unite young leaders from the Caribbean and Africa while inspiring participants to pursue their goals and expand opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
Fahie says he hopes his participation will highlight the capability and potential of emerging entrepreneurs in the Virgin Islands. “This is our time”, he said.
