Olive returns to long jump while Demming secures personal best in 200m.

BVI athletes are off to a solid start in the 2026 outdoor track and field season, with encouraging performances recorded in recent meets.

According to updates from the BVI Athletics Association, Trent Olive made his outdoor season debut in the long jump, recording a mark of 6.46 metres. The Bloomsburg University athlete, known primarily as a triple jumper, returned to long jump competition as part of his effort to rebuild form and strength following injury.

Meanwhile, J’Nya Demming delivered a standout performance at the Al Bortke Classic, opening her season with a personal best in the 200 metres. She clocked a time of 25.49 seconds.
