THE QUEEN HAS DIED AT THE AGE OF 96

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has died at the age of 96 just hours after doctors raised grave concern about her health earlier today.

The confirmation of the Queen’s death came from Buckingham Palace moments ago, stating, “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.”

It added, “The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

The Queen was the United Kingdom’s longest-serving monarch after reigning for 70 years.

With her death, her eldest son Charles, the former Prince of Wales, will lead the UK in mourning as the new King and head of state for 14 Commonwealth countries.

According to international media sites, all the Queen’s children travelled to Balmoral, near Aberdeen, after doctors placed the Queen under medical supervision this morning.
