IMAGINATION ACADEMY BLENDS FARMING WITH REAL-WORLD LEARNING

There is an adage, eat what you grow and grow what you eat.

It is therefore safe to say there is hope for the territory’s agricultural sector as there are various schools with back yard gardens.

One such school is the Imagination Academy, with students from as young as 3 to 11 years being taught how to farm and reap their harvest.

Sharia De Castro who runs the school, recently said on ZBVI that their focus extends beyond academics, not just giving students an education but preparing them for life.

De Castro has credited Farmer Khoy Smith for assisting them with the School Garden.

The Imagination Academy VI received a special invitation from the Premier and the Government to attend this year’s Territorial Address in recognition of the school’s innovative approach to education and contributions to the local agricultural sector.
