WHEATLEY CALLS FOR GREATER GOV’T PRESENCE, SERVICES ON ANEGADA

The Representative for the 9th District, Hon. Vincent Wheatley, is advocating for an increased presence of government services and offices on the island of Anegada to better serve residents.

He spoke during a recent sitting of the House of Assembly.

Wheatley said he was pleased to see things trending in that direction in terms of expanding access to key services and resources.

The Representative lauded Deputy Premier Hon. Lorna Smith for recently establishing the first-ever constituency office on Anegada.

He argued that beyond just a political constituency presence, key government ministries and agencies should also explore having permanent staff and resources based on Sister Islands to streamline service delivery.

He stressed that permanent solutions are required rather than temporary stopgaps.
