THE ONE VI POKER RUN SET FOR JUNE 30 – $16,000 IN PRIZES

The anticipation is building as the One Virgin Islands Poker Run gears up to take the seas by storm on Sunday, June 30, offering participants a chance to win a share of $16,000 in prizes.

Despite a reduction in prizes compared to the 2023 edition, organizers assure that this year’s event, themed “Champion of the Sea” will be nothing short of spectacular.

Ackeem Pickering, Committee Member of the One Virgin Islands Poker Run, highlighted the careful planning behind the event, including the deliberate selection of the date to avoid clashes with the USVI’s annual poker run. This strategic move he said ensures that participants can fully immerse themselves in the experience without any scheduling conflicts.

In addition to the strategic date selection, Pickering unveiled an exciting change in the route for this year’s poker run, promising a fresh and exhilarating experience for all participants.

Moderator Kedimone Rubaine provided insights into the breakdown of the prize pool, revealing that the grand prize for the winning poker hand stands at an impressive $8,000, with various other cash prizes and incentives up for grabs.

Committee Member Chad George reiterated the organizers’ unwavering commitment to safety, emphasizing that participant well-being remains the top priority.

He urged all participants to prioritize safety measures and take necessary precautions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

The One Virgin Islands Poker Run will be complimented this year with the addition of the One Virgin Islands Music Festival which is set to run from June 28 to 29.
