Four men, including a minor, were arrested following a robbery last night outside a supermarket on Lee Road in The Valley, Virgin Gorda.
Initial reports indicate that two masked males, one armed with a firearm, approached two individuals outside the supermarket, snatched their handbags, ran to the back of the store and escaped in a vehicle.
Officers of the Virgin Gorda Police Station responded immediately and apprehended three suspects, including the driver of the vehicle near a basketball court. A fourth suspect who fled the scene was subsequently captured and arrested.
Items taken in the robbery were recovered in the vehicle and charges are pending for the four.
Investigations are ongoing in this matter.
