CINDY ROSAN-JONES, FORMER EMPLOYEE OF BVITB AND POPULAR POLITICAL ACTIVIST SAYS SHE CONTINUES TO FACE VICTIMIZATION BY THE BVI GOVERNMENT AND ITS ENTITIES, “WHAT IS UNFOLDING HERE, IS A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT. I AM PREPARED TO FILE LEGAL PROCEEDINGS AGAINST THE CEO, VANCE LEWIS AND THE TORTOLA PIER PARK LIMITED”, ROSAN-JONES

Mrs. Rosan-Jones a recently discharged employee of BVITB, applied to the Tortola Pier Park Limited earlier this year for the rental of a kiosk for her House of Waffles business. She was granted written approval on April 15th. During the week of April 20th, she was invited to the TPPL by the CEO Vance Lewis, for a verbal official approval and welcoming of her and her business to the Tortola Pier Park. During that meeting, she was given assurance of the space.

On April 29th, in a shocking turn of events, the CEO wrote to Mrs. Rosan-Jones rescinding the offer for the Kiosk, siting financial capabilities and resources.

Mrs. Rosan-Jones has since attempted on many occasions to have a meeting with the CEO on the matter and what she considers to be a bogus excuse.

“I have contacted the CEO on many occasions and he has been deliberately avoiding a meeting with me. I have spoken to the Premier, Leader of the Opposition, Minister of Works, as well as At-Large Representative Neville Smith on this matter.” Rosan-Jones stated.

In a failure to secure a meeting with the CEO on the matter, Mrs. Rosan-Jones, through her Attorneys, has on Friday May 28th served the CEO and the Tortola Pier Park with a Notice of Breach and demands. The Tortola Pier Park has been given 7 days to respond or legal action will be taken without further notice.

In speaking with Rosan-Jones, we have inquired on her and her attorney’s position should she not be met with a response in the required time.

“What is unfolding here, is a dangerous precedent. I am prepared to file legal proceedings against the CEO, Vance Lewis and the Tortola Pier Park Limited for Abuse of Office and Power, unethical business practice, breach of client confidentiality, victimization, corruption, and breach of agreement among other things.”

Rosan-Jones added that since her approval, “no one contacted me for any further information or that any problems arose, to warrant a resent.”

Our newsroom reached out to the Management of the Cyril B Romney Tortola Pier who declined to comment.
