SUMMER SIZZLE BVI 2021 – POSTPONED

Founder & CEO of Summer Sizzle BVI Terry Donovan has confirmed the event postponement due to a massive surge in Covid-19 cases in the BVI.

In an official press release Donovan said, “Due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in the British Virgin Islands, we regretfully announce that Summer Sizzle BVI 2021 has been postponed until further notice.”

He continued, “Over the last two weeks, the increased number of positive cases has skyrocketed, prompting the British Virgin Islands Government to re-instate certain measures and implement some new ones that will affect the summer Sizzle BVI production. Over the last few days, the number of positive cases rose from 2 cases to over 500.

Like you, we were excitedly preparing for an exciting and safe event in which everyone was vaccinated and following the CDC guidelines. Though we would have been prepared, the current status of the pandemic in the BVI warrants that we canceled the event in an abundance of caution and to avoid the further spread of the virus.

We believe that getting vaccinated is a personal choice. However, we encourage you to do the required research and make the best decision to protect yourself and your loved ones. We will monitor the situation and make every effort to stay abreast with the Government of the Virgin Islands and, more so, the Ministry of Health and Environment for updates and will make a further announcement next week, as we continue to monitor the situation on the ground. We are praying for everyone’s safety.”
