29-YEAR-OLD JAQUAN THOMAS IDENTIFIED AS CAPOON’S BAY MURDER VICTIM

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has identified the territory’s first murder victim of 2022 as 29-year-old Jaquan Thomas.

The RVIPF made the announcement late Sunday, following the shooting incident in the vicinity of Capoons Bay, West End, Tortola.

They said, “Police attended the scene of a shooting incident after 11am this morning and found one male unresponsive outside a residential area in Little Apple Bay. The male identified as Jaquan Thomas, 29, was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. No one else reported injuries in the incident.”

The RVIPF also said that detectives with the Major Crime Team are leading investigations into this murder.

They also are asking persons with information or witnesses to the murder to contact the Major Crime Unit directly at 368-5682 or the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
