NO CONFIDENCE MOTION MOVED TO REMOVE FAHIE AS PREMIER – TO BE VOTED ON TODAY

Acting Premier Dr. The Honourable Natalio Wheatley has moved a no confidence motion on behalf of the National Unity Government to remove Honourable Andrew Fahie as the Premier of the Virgin Islands.

The motion was moved moments ago in the 2nd Sitting of the 4th Session of the House of Assembly where Dr. Wheatley announced his Government’s decision.

He said the allegations surrounding the charges on Premier Fahie have severely stained the reputation of the territory and as a result the Government was no longer confident in the premier’s leadership of the territory.

The motion is presently in the debate phase and will be voted upon following the completion of that said debate.

More to come on this developing story.
