PREMIER SLAMS CABINET ON LEAKED AUDIT

Premier Dr the Honourable Natalio Wheatley has strongly condemned the individual, believed to be a member of his Cabinet, responsible for the unauthorised release of the Auditor General’s report into Assistance Grants Programmes.

Ahead of debating the contents of the audit, Premier Wheatley stood to express his deep disappointment in what unfolded.

To this end he has cautioned persons in possession of the unredacted form of the document to cease from sharing it, as they are violating a confidential Cabinet document in the process.

Wheatley chastised those responsible for taking matters into their own hands to circulate the document and expose those named within.

He says he has no respect for this behaviour and questions whether the move was politically motivated. To which he added that elected members must stop destroying each other for political points and leaving Virgin Islanders with collateral damage.
