Locals and residents have been capitalising on the American Airlines direct flights to and from Miami effective June 1st 2023 which are reportedly now more than 70 percent filled to capacity.
Managing Director of the BVI Airports Authority Mr. Kurt Menal gave that indication during a recent interview with 284News.
According to Menal, the demand for the flights which will be operating directly between the Terrance B Lettsome International Airport and Miami remains extremely high, which has resulted in the continuous fluctuation of ticket prices.
The managing director also provided an update on the ground works which are being executed by the Airports Authority and a team from American Airlines.
Menal was also asked whether there have been any additional talks to have the carrier increase the direct flights from the seasonal period to all-year-round.
