District 1 Candidate Sylvia Romney Moses believes that there is a need for more women in leadership in the Virgin Islands.
She spoke as a guest on 284 Media’s Just for the Record.
While she noted that there have been women at the table, she said there is a need for a greater shift in the gender ratios of the Territory’s executive and legislature.
Romney Moses said further that it is necessary to not only have women contribute to important discussions but in some cases, they may be better fit to take the lead.
Should she be elected, Romney Moses hopes to provide the necessary representation for women and girls across the Territory by ensuring that their views and concerns remain a part of discussions.
