A male is presently recovering at the Dr. D Orlando Smith Hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound while in Cane Garden Bay on Sunday.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force confirmed the incident via a statement on Tuesday, April 18.
“Police can confirm that a male received a gunshot wound on Sunday evening while in the Cane Garden Bay area. His injury is not believed to be life-threatening. Police investigations are ongoing,” the RVIPF stated.
While no other information was provided from the RVIPF, secondary reports indicate that the injured man is a non-national.
