Premier Dr. the Hon. Natalio Wheatley has once again publicly expressed his confidence in Hon. Vincent Wheatley and revealed that no talks were had with the United Kingdom prior to reinstating the District 9 Elect to a ministry.
Premier Wheatley showed his support at a recent press conference in response to a question posed by a local journalist, who inquired on the premier’s thought process behind reinstating V Wheatley who now sits as the Minister for Health and Social Development.
Premier Wheatley also asserted that Vincent is the most fitting person to lead as Minister for Health and Social Development, stating that he has proven himself in the past.
The question stems from the decision made during the formation of the National Unity Government where V Wheatley was removed as the Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration.
The decision followed with several assertions which were labelled as rumours, which were publicly denounced on several occasions both by the premier and the District 9 Elect.
Honourable Vincent Wheatley is presently the Acting Premier of the Virgin Islands and Acting Minister of Finance, a position that he will hold until May 13th.
