UNNECESSARY DISRUPTIONS BY THE OPPOSITION DURING THE 5TH H.O.A WILL NOT BE WELCOMED

Premier Dr. the Hon. Natalio Wheatley has said he will not be welcoming any unnecessary disruptions during the Fifth House of Assembly by members of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition who have already predicted that motions of No Confidence will be forthcoming during the Government’s term in office.

Premier Wheatley said while he welcomes opposing views by a strong Opposition in the name of democracy, the agenda of the present Opposition is questionable, following previously made statements to bring motions of No Confidence to the House of Assembly without a reasonable cause.

The premier at the time of his statement was responding to a question from the media on his views of the Opposition wanting to appoint shadow ministers to enhance accountability measures.

Premier Wheatley said the initiative from the Opposition is one that will not affect how his Government execute its duty.

It was the Third District Elect and Chairman of the Progressives United party Hon. Julian Fraser who predicted that the Fifth House of Assembly will have more than one motion of No Confidence being brought against the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Government.
