ADAEJAH MISSES OUT ON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FINAL AFTER PLACING 7TH IN SEMIS

Adaejah Hodge gave it her all in the semi-finals of the Women’s 200-metre event at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary on Thursday, but missed out on the final after finishing 7th.

Sprinting out of lane 2, in heat 2, the 17-year-old Hodge managed a time of 22.96 seconds.

Her race was won by Julien Alfred of St. Lucia who ran a time of 22.17 seconds while Daryll Neita of Great Britain finished second to also qualify for the final, with a personal best time of 22.21 seconds.
