BVITB CONTINUES TO ADVANCE REGIONAL AIRLINE COLLABORATION

The BVI Tourist Board’s Regional Marketing Manager RaeNisha Scatlifee recently met with WINAIR and other regional airlines to cultivate strategic partnerships in the regional travel space.

Most recently, discussions were held with WINAIR’s Director of Marketing & Sales, Customer Service Manager, and Marketing Manager to explore collaborations.

The BVI Tourist Board shared the news in a recent Facebook post.

“The synergy between Tourism Boards and airlines creates a powerful alliance that not only promotes destinations but also enhances the overall travel experience for visitors”, it said.

The Tourist Board stressed that such collaboration “is essential for driving tourism growth, fostering economic development, and creating a positive impact on both the destination and the airline industry”.

BVITB expressed enthusiasm for the significant potential of enhanced airline relations.

The BVI welcomed the operation of a new connection between the BVI and Antigua and Barbuda operated on a WINAIR ATR 42 last July.

At the time the BVITB said that the new flight was expected to “contribute to boosting of tourism in the Virgin Islands” and that this renewed relationship with WINAIR was in direct alignment with the National Sustainable Development Plan which calls for “diversification and expansion of the tourism sector as a mechanism to facilitate economic development through encouraging foreign direct investment”.

The BVITB’s relationship with WINAIR has also been showcased in recent marketing efforts, with the BVI Food Fete and various other aspects of the BVI’s Tourism Product showcased prominently on board WINAIR’s vessels.
