On Sunday March 10th, 2024 at 7:05 PM, SpaceX launched its Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink satellites.
The initial launch was from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Brevard County, Florida.
The rocket was seen in BVI skies by residents in the Virgin Islands, many of whom were unaware of the launch.
A number of photos and videos were taken by residents capturing the rocket launch.
Some five hours after the launch from Cape Canaveral, SpaceX sent another 23 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, this time from California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Starlink satellites are said to help provide broadband internet capability to locations throughout the world.
