MINISTER RYMER ASSESSES DAMAGE AFTER INCLEMENT WEATHER HITS TORTOLA

This morning, the streets of Road Town saw a notable figure taking action amidst the aftermath of severe weather that swept across Tortola.

The Honourable Kye Rymer, Minister of Communication and Works, ventured into the affected communities to conduct a firsthand assessment of the damage caused by the inclement weather that battered the territory.

Despite the challenges posed by the adverse weather conditions, Minister Rymer’s resolve to engage directly with the affected communities remained unwavering.

Speaking through GIS channels during his assessment, Minister Rymer explained that he had opted to wait for the bulk of the bad weather to subside before completing his assessment of the total damage.

Expressing empathy for those impacted by the floods, Minister Rymer assured residents that assistance would be forthcoming from the Ministry of Communication and Works.

He emphasized that the government stands ready to provide support and aid to individuals and families affected by the recent weather-related events, particularly in cases where assistance is deemed applicable.
