The 2025 Terrence Chinnery Industrial Softball League opened Monday evening with prayer, and passionate calls for community unity at a ceremony celebrating both the game and the legacy of a local sports hero.
Following the Territorial Song and opening acknowledgments, Acting Director of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports , Ms. Shaunice Leonard, welcomed the audience and paid tribute to the league’s namesake. Leonard also encouraged teams to focus on sportsmanship and togetherness

Honorable Sharie DeCastro, Minister for Education, Youth Affairs, and Sports, emphasized governmental support for the league and broader grassroots softball development.
