BVI MEN’S FOOTBALL TEAM TO PLAY FIRST HOME GAME IN 6 YEARS

The BVI men’s national football team will be playing their first home game in 6 years this coming Friday June 3 at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Ground against the Cayman Islands.

The BVI Football Association held a press conference this morning to speak on the readiness of the team ahead of the game.

President of the Association Andy Bickerton said the team will be looking forward to playing in front of the BVI public.

Also speaking at the press conference was national coach Chris Kiwomya, who spoke about the behind the scenes work of the team leading up to Friday’s game since his appointment last October.

Meanwhile national captain Troy Caesar said the coaching staff has assembled a solid team that will challenge the Cayman Islands team.

He said his boys are ready ahead of the highly anticipated match.

After Friday’s match the BVI team will travel to the Cayman Islands to play them in an away game on Monday June 6.

That match would be followed by another away game against Puerto Rico on Sunday June 12.
