LABOUR TASK FORCE ESTABLISHED TO TACKLE PRESENT WORK PERMIT BACKLOG

The Department of Labour and Workforce Development has a new task force which is aimed at tackling the work permit backlog that have been plaguing the department over the past few months.

This was confirmed by the Minister for Labour and Immigration Honourable Vincent Wheatley who said the task force is comprised of former retired executive members of the department.

The task force is expected to be temporarily in place until the backlog has cleared.

Minister Wheatley said a more comprehensive breakdown of the task force will be revealed during a press conference which is scheduled for Friday March 25.
