The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports recently culminated its annual observation of Innovation Week 2022 which, this year, was used as a stage for the ministry to showcase its vision for the use of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) based learning techniques and resources in schools.
“Fostering critical thinking, problem solving, creation, innovation and collaboration skills” was the mandate of Innovation Week 2022 in the BVI.
To commemorate this year’s observation, the Ministry of Education held a S.T.E.A.M Expo, at the Save the Seed Energy Centre which invited students from various schools to participate.
Attendees at the event’s closing activity were given a hearty introduction to the concept by Minister for Education Honourable Share De Castro, with some help from students.
