ANEGADA ENERGY PROJECT TO SAVE RESIDENTS LESS THAN 1% ON BILLS – SAYS CREQUE

While expressing that residents on Anegada will be saving on their electricity bills once the the Anegada hybrid renewable energy project is completed, owner of Creque’s Engineering Services Mr. Henry Creque says it will not be to the magnitude of what some people may expect.

Creque made the comment during a recent interview with 284Media as he explained why he believe customers will save less than one percent of their existing monthly bills due to all the factors that are involved in providing electricity on Anegada.

Creque who is also a former Deputy Manager of the BVI Electricity Corporation spoke about a proposed plan by his company to develop a 10 megawatt renewable energy project on Tortola which he said could save residents on the mainland at least 8 percent of their monthly bills.

His Creque’s Engineering Services as well as other energy companies aTec BVI and BMR Energy Ltd teamed up with US company Advanced Solar Products to bid on the Anegada project back in February 2020.

When asked in retrospect whether he would still be interested in being involved in the project, Creque responded yes, without any hesitation.
