The National Democratic Party (NDP) has expressed plans to subdivide selected areas of crown land across Virgin Gorda, to provide more affordable options for local first time home owners seeking to buy property.
At Large Candidate for the NDP Mrs. Lorna Smith made the announcement during a recent campaign launch which was held for Ninth District candidate Coy Levons.
Smith promised that this initiative will be achieved within the first year of an NDP government, once successful at the polls on April 24.
The former First Lady said a review needs to be had on the cost of living and how it directly impacts Virgin Gorda, adding that her party has the expertise needed to properly execute such a job.
