D’MOI’S EXPLOSIVE DEBUT PROPELS RIP CITY REMIX TO VICTORY

In a dazzling debut, British Virgin Islands’ own D’Moi Hodge left an indelible mark on the NBA G League as he delivered a stellar performance, contributing 21 points to guide Rip City Remix to a commanding 118-95 victory over G League Ignite.

The Chiles Center bore witness to Hodge’s impressive debut in his new colours, with the Rip City Remix dominating from the onset in their third matchup of the season against G League Ignite. The Remix outscored Ignite by 10 points in the first quarter and maintained their lead throughout the game, reaching a peak advantage of 32 points in the third quarter.

Rip City’s Antoine Davis, consistent in his scoring prowess, notched his fifth 20+ point game of the regular season with a formidable 22-point performance. However, it was the debutant, D’Moi Hodge, who stole the spotlight with his 21 points and four steals, immediately making his presence felt on the court. Alex Reese, coming off the bench, added to the firepower with an impressive 19 points, five rebounds, and a crucial block.

The dynamic duo of Ashton Hagans (10 points, 13 assists, four steals) and George Conditt (12 points, 10 rebounds) secured double-doubles, further solidifying Rip City Remix’s dominance.

On the opposing side, G League Ignite’s Tyler Smith emerged as the leading scorer, contributing 19 points, four rebounds, and two assists off the bench. London Johnson showcased his all-around skills with 16 points, five assists, and four steals. Despite the efforts of Ronald Holland II, Babacar Sane, and John Jenkins, who all scored in double figures, G League Ignite couldn’t match the intensity displayed by Rip City Remix.

Hodge’s remarkable debut not only added a new dimension to the Remix’s offensive prowess but also hinted at a promising future for the BVIslander in the NBA G League.

As the season unfolds, fans eagerly anticipate more standout performances from Hodge and the Rip City Remix, who are in sixth position in the G League’s Western Conference, just two wins behind Hodge’s former team the South Bay Lakers.
